Swarnagiri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

The Swarnagiri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, also known as Yadadri Tirumala Devasthanam, is a prominent Hindu temple situated atop the Manepally Hills in Bhuvanagiri, Telangana, approximately 47.3 kilometers from Hyderabad. This sacred edifice, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, stands as a testament to architectural grandeur and spiritual devotion.

Legend and Origin

The inception of the Swarnagiri Temple is rooted in a miraculous event involving Srimati Vijaya Lakshmi, the wife of esteemed businessman Sriman Manepalli Rama Rao. Following a severe accident that left her in a coma, the holy water from Tirupati was administered, leading to her remarkable recovery. In gratitude, the Manepalli family resolved to construct a temple on their 22-acre property, adhering to the Sri Pancharatra Agama and Tennacharya Sampradayam traditions.
